Free browser games, no download

PlayBreak is a free HTML5 games site. Search, click a title, and play in your browser. Nothing to install, and you do not need an account to browse or play.

Made for short breaks

Most games here are meant to start in a few seconds. Play a round, then close the tab.

Works in the browser

Games run as HTML5 embeds. That is why they work on Chromebooks and shared computers.

Guides, not just a grid

We write about how the player works, which genres fit a short pause, and how we choose titles. Read the guides.

Common questions

Do I need to download anything?

No. PlayBreak only lists HTML5 games that run in the browser. If a computer can open this site, it can usually open the games.

Do I need an account?

No. Browsing and playing do not require a login. Recently played games are stored locally in your browser if you allow it.

Why does a game show a blank screen?

Embedded games come from third-party publishers. A blank screen is often a publisher outage, a blocked embed, or a browser extension. Try another title, or tell us which game failed.

Who chooses the games?

PlayBreak is an independent catalog. We organize publisher games by genre, keep a featured list of titles that start quickly, and explain controls on each game page. Read how we choose games.

Why PlayBreak?

We built PlayBreak for short pauses: a puzzle between tasks, a racing round after homework, or a two-player game on a shared laptop. The site is a catalog plus a player, not an app store.

Every listed game is an HTML5 title we can open in our player. We add a description, controls when the publisher provides them, tags, and similar games. We also write separate guides about how the site works so the catalog is not the only text on PlayBreak.

PlayBreak is maintained independently. If a game breaks, a listing looks wrong, or you publish HTML5 games, contact us. You can also read about PlayBreak and the guides.
